[justify]One of archaeology's most compelling mysteries is that of the 13 crystal skulls. The crystal skulls have been some of the most powerful mystical symbols in human history.
Several "perfect" crystal skulls have been found in parts of Mexico and Central and South America. Together, they form a mystery as enigmatic as the Great Pyramids and Stonehenge. Lester Holt follows in the footsteps of British explorer and adventurer Frederick Mitchell-Hedges, an inspiration for the fictional Indiana Jones character, whose daughter discovered the first ancient crystal skull in the 1920s in the Mayan ruins of Lubaantun. Bill Homann, a modern-day adventurer and caretaker of the Mitchell-Hedges? skull, joins Lester on the quest that takes them through the treacherousjungles of Belize and in the rough waters of the Honduran coast. Together, with clues that Homann obtained from Mitchell-Hedges? daughter and local Mayans, they go in search of another missing skull while surviving the bat-ridden caves and alligator infested rivers. Along the way, they come across amazing discoveries including a hidden Mayan temple that could house more treasures. But if we wish to comprehend their deepest mysteries, we must hurry. According to the prophecy, only by reuniting all or nearly all of the 13 crystal skulls can humankind unlock secrets that will allow us to avoid the apocalypse predicted by the ancient Mayan calendar ? which comes to end on Dec. 21, 2012.

A) Are the skulls artifacts from the lost civilization of Atlantis, or are they extraterrestrial in origin?
B) Made from piezo-electric quartz crystal, used in today's computers, are the skulls information storage devices?
C) Do they really posses telepathic qualities, allowing us to see deep into the past and predict the future?
D) What is the message they bring about future earth changes and the destiny of humanity?.

[justify]A Talk by Chris Morton & Ceri Louise-Thomas, filmed at the Megalithomania Conference, Glastonbury, 17th - 18th May 2008.
An old Native American legend tells of 13 crystal skulls the size of human skulls that were said to contain information about the origins and destiny of humankind. The legend said that one day, at a time of great need, all the crystal skulls would be rediscovered and brought together to reveal information vital to the future of humanity. Earlier this century, a real crystal skull was discovered by a British explorer deep in the jungles of Central America. Since then, several other crystal skulls have also come to light. As enigmatic as the Pyramids or the Sphinx, or the megaliths of Stonehenge, the crystal skulls have created a storm of archaeological controversy. Are they remnants of a lost megalithic civilization and why do Native American elders claim the crystal skulls are stores of great knowledge, programmed with an important message for humankind?
