Ils reprirent alors nos traditions, les comprirent, et se lancèrent dans l'antigravitation et autres technologies permettant de sortir de notre dôme. Ils effectuèrent également des missions en Antarctique, et constatèrent que notre monde était bordé par une ceinture de glace, le fameux Ourobouros qui nous sépare des reptiliens, qui vivent dans un monde inférieur au notre, et dont nous subissons actuellement une invasion ultra-violente qui vas plonger le monde dans le chaos total. C'est cela le grand secret des Nazis : avoir voulu repousser les forces des ténèbres chez elles.[/justify]

Introduction
Samuel Birley Rowbotham, under the pseudonym ?Parallax?, lectured for two decades up and down Britain promoting his unique flat earth theory. This book, in which he lays out his world system, went through three editions, starting with a 16 page pamphlet published in 1849 and a second edition of 221 pages published in 1865. The third edition of 1881 (which had inflated to 430 pages) was used as the basis of this text.

Rowbotham was an accomplished debater who reputedly steamrollered all opponents, and his followers, who included many well-educated people, were equally tenacious. One of them, John Hampden, got involved in a bet with the famous naturalist Alfred Russel Wallace about the flat earth. An experiment which Hampden proposed didn?t resolve the issue, and the two ended up in court in 1876. The judge ruled against Hampton, who started a long campaign of legal harassment of Wallace. Rowbotham hints at the incident in this book.

Rowbotham believed that the earth is flat. The continents float on an infinite ocean which somehow has a layer of fire underneath it. The lands we know are surrounded by an infinite wilderness of ice and snow, beyond the Antarctic ocean, bordered by an immense circular ice-cliff. What we call the North Pole is in the centre of the earth. The polar projection of the flat earth creates obvious discrepancies with known geography, particularly the farther south you go. Figure 54 inadvertently illustrates this problem. The Zetetic map has a severely squashed South America and Africa, and Australia and New Zealand in the middle of the Pacific. I think that by the 19th century people would have noticed if Australia and Africa were thousands of miles further apart than expected, let alone if Africa was wider than it was long !
The Zetetic Sun, moon, planets and stars are all only a few hundred miles above the surface of the earth. The sun orbits the north pole once a day at a constant altitude. The moon is both self-illuminated and semi-transparent. Eclipses can be explained by some unknown object occulting the sun or moon. Zetetic cosmology is ?faith-based?, based, that is, on a literal interpretation of selected Biblical quotes. Hell is exactly as advertised, directly below us. Heaven is not a state of mind, it is a real place, somewhere above us. He uses Ussherian Biblical chronology to mock the concept that stars could be millions of light years away. He attacks the concept of a plurality of worlds because no other world than this one is mentioned in the Bible. Rowbotham never adequately explains his alternative astronomy. If the Copernican theory so adequately explains planetary motions, why discard it, and what would he use in its place ? What is the sun orbiting around once a day and how does it work like a spotlight, not a ?point source? ? If the moon is self-luminous, what creates its phases ? If gravity appears to work here on earth, why doesn?t it apply to the celestial objects just a few hundred miles up ?

To make his system work he had to throw out a great deal of science, including the scientific method itself, using instead what he calls a ?Zetetic? method. As far as I can see this is simply a license to employ circular reasoning (e.g., the earth is flat, hence we can see distant lighthouses, hence the earth is flat).

Zetetic Astronomy is a key work of flat-earth thought, just as Donnelly?s Atlantis, the Antediluvian World is still considered required reading on the subject of Atlantis. If you ever have to debate the flat earth pro or con, this book is a complete agenda of each point that you?ll have to argue.

Bon, un dernier billet pour vous dire que le temps est venu pour moi de passer à autre chose. (Eh ouaip !) Faisons un rapide bilan : plus de 200 vidéos sur YT et 3 fois autant d?abonnés, 150 pages vues en moyenne par jour sur les >360 articles du blog, et des mentions en passant sur d?autres sites, surtout en mal mais aussi en bien. L?objectif est, pour moi, quasiment déjà atteint (et il l?est dans la mesure où je connais la vérité et où vous, si vous êtes ici, la connaissez également). La France nombriliste mettra du temps à s?en rendre compte mais le sujet de la Terre plate est, du moins dans le monde anglophone, déjà dans la sphère quasi-publique. La dernière sortie de B.o.B. et les réponses de NdG Tyson ont mis la Terre plate sur le devant de la scène et le buzz n?est plus limité aux sites « conspirationnistes » (a.k.a. drapétomanistes) ou aux chaînes YT. Les médias de masse et de plus en plus de sites généralistes sans lien aucun avec la science ou les « complots » se font l?écho de la vérité ? en la dénigrant, soit, mais tout de même ? et une audience chaque jour grandissante devient concernée. C?est aussi un problème parce que les informations disponibles croissent de manière exponentielle. Il ne m?est plus possible de tout suivre. Il faudrait que je consacre de + en + de temps pour produire de - en - de matériel original et pertinent alors je préfère en rester là, avec ce qui existe déjà et reste de bonne qualité dans l?ensemble.

J?imagine que le relai a déjà été pris. Peut-être la communauté a-t-elle besoin d?un forum pour organiser les recherches de ceux qui ont encore des questions ? Si ça arrive, faites des sauvegardes : ils ont fermé le forum d?Eric Dubay sans préavis ! Il y aura intérêt à diviser ce vaste sujet en sections avec de véritables expériences scientifiques à la clé : concernant la Lune, le Soleil, les problèmes de perspective, les gyroscopes, les témoignages de gens touchés directement par la Terre plate et qui ouvrent enfin les yeux?Aux suivants de voir.

Il n?y a pas trop de soucis à se faire : comme le dit souvent Mark Sargent, le sujet de la Terre plate résonne avec les gens. C?est un « complot » (c.-à-d. fait) qui a cela d?unique qu?il n?est pas simplement factuel, un aspect transcendant y est attaché et cela parle aux ?chercheurs?. Porfirio Diaz aurait dit en parlant de son pays : « Pauvre Mexique, si loin de Dieu et si près des États-Unis. » De manière tragique et non plus comique, c?est le cas de la France en général ainsi que de d?un nombre grandissant de pays et individus. C?est une tendance qui approche de ou est déjà à son apogée, mais qui ne durera plus longtemps et s?inverse déjà pour certains. La Terre plate est ce qu?on aura de plus approchant d?une preuve scientifique (pas religieuse ou spirituelle) de l?existence de Dieu, et c?est pourquoi, rapidement, le public va s?y intéresser?et se diviser. Les mois à venir amèneront leur lot de ?debunkers?, d?attaques ad hominem croissantes, de diversions (*cough* campagne électorale *cough*), esquives, etc. Mais ce qui doit arriver arrivera. Que ce soit une question de temps comme le disait Thomas Paine dans Common Sense (« Le temps fait plus de convertis que la raison. »), parce que cela sert les intérêts du NOM, ou que c?est la volonté de la ruse de la raison elle-même, la Terre plate est garantie de gagner en publicité.

J?estime avoir mis à disposition suffisamment de matériel pour convaincre les esprits ouverts, et avoir par conséquent ?fait mon boulot? comme on dit. Vous pouvez utiliser mes articles ou mes vidéos sans même citer leur origine (d?aucuns l?ont déjà fait), libre à vous, ils ne m?appartiennent pas.
